Rebar A1 is referred to a soft or plain rebar, often without tread, and the amount of carbon used in A1 is lower than other types of rebar.
The rebar is semi-rigid and is classified in the S340 category. Its appearance is a longitudinal axis and a spiral series relative to the longitudinal axis.
The rebar is hard with twisted tread and the rebar is with the spiral tread. It is in the semi-hard category in terms of hardness.
The ribbed bar or compound tread baris called the A4 bar. It has a longer durability and strength than A1-A2-A3 rebars.
In a division, the rebar is classified into two branches and coils. The coil rebar, as its name implies, is twisted into coils.
There are two types of coil rebar:
1. Simple coil
2. Ribbed coil
SAE 1006 and SAE 1008 wires are also classified as low carbon steels. The parameters related to the hot rolling process for this group of wires are different from the previous samples due to their different chemical analysis and microstructure. The chemical analysis as well as the mechanical properties of these wires according to ASTM standard are presented in the table below.
row | size(mm) | length(m) | weight of each branch(12m) | the number of branch per bounch | analyze |
1 | 8 rebar size | 12m | 5 | 400 | A3 |
2 | 10 rebar size | 12m | 7.8 | 260 | A3 |
