1. Carbon monoxide and synthesis gas are the raw materials in the polycarbonate, polyurethane and oxy-alcohol manufacture based on SMR and ATR processes or on partial oxidation.
2. Carbon monoxide is also used in the manufacturing of metal carbonyls.
