It shows good mechanical properties of Epoxy resin and good chemical properties of Unsaturated poly ester resin. Epoxy chain in vinyl ester resin improves tensile and flexural strength compared with polyester resin. it also has an excellent resistance to corrosion and hydrolysis.
Vinyl ester resin is applied in manufacture of FRP pipes, GRP, storage tanks, floaters. it is also applied in Pultrusion, RTM and hand lay-up industries.
